[Winter's Morning]

BSL is the banning or restricting of a breed or breeds of dogs thought to be dangerous. Most often accused is the Pit Bull, but I was surprised when I found this list of seventyfive breeds effected by BSL. Take a close look, even Golden Retievers are on this list.

If someone has vicious dog I say the owner should be banned and the dog rehabilitated if possible!
Dogs are not vicious....People are!

How true! The most vicious dogs only got that wasy from poor training or abuse.

I'm SHOCKED that the Giant Schnauzer and Russian Bear Schnauzer (Black Russian Terrier) aren't on here! It's probably because they have a cute little beard... These two breeds are big and dangerous if not raised properly, and they are just as powerful as rottweilers, german shepards, and other police dogs... in fact they ARE police attack/guard dogs and have more power than a shepard. That just proves the bias in the listing... and there shouldn't be a list to begin with! PEOPLE make the dog behave how it behaves! But ANY dog is wonderful when raised correctly, loved, and respected!! I saw a beautiful pit bull on my walk today, and she was very well mannered/calm. The old guy walking her seemed surprised when I said she was pretty, but she really was.

Scottish Deerhound but not Irish Wolfhound???? Both are lazy couch potatoes who welcome anyone as a friend including a burglar! Similar for a Great Dane... These 3 are gentle giants and I'll bet it's just their size that counts here.

75 breeds is almost half of the dog breeds recognized by the AKC. Why don't they just ban all dogs then huh? I HATE BSL!!!!!!!!!
