These are just a few types of Hosta that I have in my back yard. Many types of sizes some grow to 3 ft. and some grow only 6 in tall. I love all types. My daughter planted an old fashioned type in front of her house to use instead of bushes, at the foundation, it was beautiful mixed with Day lilys.

These are Gladys hostas that i wanted to save !

Beautiful Hostas!

Here is an example for Hosta Perennial planting. This example shows how the Hosta Perennials
are planted near a foundation of a home or in a

planter box.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

  • Garden center or greenhouse to purchase perennials

  • Gardening tools

  • Some time and planning required also

Step 1

  1.

First find a local center and purchase as many Hostas you desire. If you are Lucky, someone you know may have some and be glad to split or divide there

    plant with you.

  2. Step 2

Plant in a garden or near a house foundation. Remember proper planting separation, as some Hosta Perennials may become large. Also read the

instructions for sun requirements on the plant label. Most Hosta plants
require partial to full shade. Also remember to use mulch or rock for a
better landscaped appearance and to retain moisture for the Hostas.

  3. Step 3

Enjoy the great appearance and beauty of the Hosta. Planting them in a garden with landscape borders or near a home inside a planter box or other landscape feature, will add beauty

    to the landscape.
Hopefully this example will give you a good idea before planting your Hostas.
