Finaly the last blog! Tiger's blog!

Tiger. The first pet I rescued from a shelter, the first pet to live at my dad's house, and the oldest pet I have at the moment.

I was 9 years old, when my dad asked "Next weekend, you wanna go to the animal shelter and find a pet?". (Back then, I wasen't Obsessed with animals as I was now). It might sound like I didn't care or want a pet, but your wrong. I'm just saying, now-a-days I'm very obsessed with animals.

How obsessed was I? I stayed up (secretly) all night, just thinking of me finding my first pet! It was a school night! (I might add). But I went to school with loads more energy and excitment. Because I knew that when dad picked me up, we were headed to the animal shelter!

I looked around the dog kennels, don't remember much cause this was 5 years ago. I do recall opening the door to the cat room, and instantly running to each cage to greet every kitty. Each cage was almost filled, about 87% of them were filled up with strays, returns, and throw aways.

2 cats caught my eye. One was a gray tabby and the other a black cat. I went with the cat that first meowed, when we opened the door. Tiger! A 6 month old kitty!

Tiger's story: Lived with a woman, but she moved and dumped Tiger at the shelter.

The name? Well I picked out "Tiger" before we ever entered the shelter. I learned to not to that again, (make a list of names instead).

I wasen't at dad's house when Tiger finally arrived, (At mom's house). But dad told me Tiger hide the whole week, under a bed.

Tiger is now 5 years old, her birthday in August. She's the oldest cat we have in our "fur family". Not old at all, but to her she's Queen.

Did you read Blossom's Blog? Well, it explains blossom's attitude about who's Queen of the pride. Tiger is the real Queen, but Blossom challenges her all the time for the crown. They have little cat fights. A paw to the face, hissing. Nobody wins or loses.

Now Tiger is a lap cat. Before I had Blossom, I would brush Tiger every day inside. But now with my "busy" schedule, Tiger is forced to beg for brushings. By rolling on the outside pavement. I bring the brush out as much as possible. Tiger usauly meows, walks to her dirt spot (behind a bush) and she rolls around in the dirt while she waits for you to rub her.

Steel and Tiger? I'd have to say "Okay". If Steel gets to close to her, she'll hiss and run away. But she doesen't torment him like Shakespear.

Tiger is more of an outdoor cat. She roams the yards and houses. Or she's sleeping in a scratching post. But very likely stalking the birds on our fence.
