Scare!

The Scare!

The winter in Louisiana has always been rather peculiar. One winter it will be so cold that your sure ice will grow on the tip of your nose if you stay outside to long. The next one you'll be sporting a tank top and short-shorts. It hasn't been any different this year except for the fact we've been getting a little of both.

In response to a storm that is suppose to be hitting the area shortly, my boyfriend and I decided to go down to our little shed and grab a few jackets and long-sleeve shirts for us to use this week. Of course our little dog LeeRoy decided that he would go with us which normally is not really a big deal. While our big dogs and him do not see eye to eye, we've never had a problem before as they would rather avoid each other all together. This time was no different.

Instead of following us into our shed, Lee decided to run around the outside sniffing at the leaves and rolling in the fresh mud. Usually he stays close and doesn't run off, one of his better qualities, but something this time caught his attention.

There is a small travel trailer nearby that has at one point been shelter to a few stray cats and possibly a few raccoons. There has never been a problem before and we didn't see there to be one now until Lee ran off towards it barking. He went underneath and we didn't see him anymore. Again, we didn't really think anything about it and finishing gathering our clothes and stepped back outside.

When we did there was a horrible scream....

Of course like any puppy parent, I paniced and started looking and calling for Lee.

I found him alright...

He'd gotten his sweater caught in the corner of the travel trailer...apparently the booger man had gotten hold of him...or so he had thought. Once he got free, he was his lovely bouncing self.
