The best way to treat cancer in dogs is by prevention. Examine your dog at home and see if there are any lumps, bumps, or sores or any unusual growth. Give your dog a proper nutrition. Try not exposing your dog to industrial chemicals & tobacco smoke as these are very carcinogenic. Hereditary factors might also be the cause of your dog contracting cancer but there is not much you can do about that. There are some signs & symptoms such as chronic vomiting or diarrhea, fatigue or difficulty in exercising, lack of appetite, difficulty in eating or swallowing, bleeding, bad mouth odor, etc. The last two were very strong in my dog that died with cancer many years ago. He had a tumor and really bad mouth odor. Poor thing, all his body was eaten up by cancer. It’s important that as soon as you notice any change in your dog’s behavior you contact your vet as soon as you see any bodily masses. Chemotherapy, radiation and surgery are available & also medications. There are also natural remedies. Find out all the treatment options available. Your dog’s health it’s important.
