What do you get for the cat who has everything? Sure, your pet feline
may seem like a cool cat, but what does he/she really want for his/her
birthday? Here are a few ideas for the purr-fect present.
1) Spiderman DVD - You may think your cat may not be interested int his
kind of gift, but actually you'd be wrong. Cat's love Spiderman, not
only for his ability to land on his feet, each and every time, but also
because they are huge fans of the film's star: Tabby McGuire.
2) Knit sweater - Yes, we all know the most common of traditional
cat
gifts are the stereotypical ball of yarn. Why let your cat off so easy?
If they want a ball of yarn, let them make it themselves by taking a
finished garment and unraveling it on its own.
3) Dog costume - A well-kept secret in the cat community is a certain
subset of animals who simply feel they were "born in the wrong animal
body." Cats who secretly want to be dogs (trans-canines) are more common
than you think. Don't judge them. Be understanding and give them a cat
gift that will keep on giving.
4) Paula Abdul CD - Ever since her duet with MC Skat Kat, Abdul has been
all the rage among the cat music-loving world. Other acceptable artists
include the Stray Cats and the +!@#$cat Dolls, but steer clear of the
Baha Men unless you want to have to call the fire department to get you
cat out of the nearest tree. Speaking of which...
5) Kitty binoculars - Why not combine two of your pet's favorite
activities? Give them a cat gift they'll actually use time and again.
While they sit up there on the tree limb, waiting for the local hook and
ladder to come to their rescue, they can use their binoculars to get
some birdwatching done.
While it may seem a bit tongue-in-cheek, the fact is that your cat is
not a person. They really don't care what you get them as a cat gift, or
if you don't get anything for them at all. That doesn't mean you
neglect your pet. However, it does mean that whatever you choose to do
to spend time with your animal in an attempt to make their lives happier
will probably work.
In the end, the biggest cat gift you can give is your own love.
