*(Disclaimer: please be careful when using tools of any sort!! due to dangerous tools an adult should do ALL cutting for younger viewers on this specific home.)*
*NOTE* all doorways should be sized according to your pet(s)! keep in mind this is only an example!
there are actually many ways you can make a home out of a coconut.. im positive that your pet will love their new home any way you chose to make it! also before feeding any coconut *meat* to your pet check a food list online to make sure its ok! (i know for a fact that its alright for hammies.. if they are underweight this is actually a good way to fatten them up quick!.. just remember to keep it in moderation!)
before cutting any coconut be sure to carve two holes into it and drain the liquid! (one hole is for the liquid to come out and the other is for air to go in :D)
what i did: cut a coconut in half and scrape out the stuff thats inside. .. you can set them like a bowl or you could use a sideways cutting drill bit on a drimmel to cut a doorway.
another idea: use a drimmel to cut a hole big enough for your pet to get inside.. scrape out all the "meat" and feed string or wire through the holes cut for draining the liquid and use that to secure the coconut to side or top of cage (if you dont are using a tank its alright to just lay the coconut on the "floor" instead of hanging it). (ill take pics as soon as i have time to make one like this)
