Well it's been quite a long time since i've been on this website. But i have decided to come back since I now have a new member to my family; my little guinea pig Axel. He is an abyssinian and as far as i know male. of course there will be pictures coming soon.

I will be going to college in the fall and unfortunately will not be able to have any of my animals except 3 of my mice and my gecko. So now i am faced with the tack of finding them all new homes. I have already found a home for my rabbit CJ, but my 4 rat boys will be harder to find a home for...

Also in other sad news, my gerbil Jay has passed away today at 2 1/2 yrs. old.. i hope i let him live a good healthy life in the very least...

so BOTH of my female mice, Carnation and Pinch, are preggo and i have no idea of how to care for the babies! I just hope i figure out what to do before they are here.. I think im going to ask my boss for some extra cages (which they don't use) just for when they grow up so i can seperate the ales and females. I dont really want to breed mice, at least not right know, maybe after college when i have more time and space but i guess this will tell me if it is a good idea or not..

of course there are many ways to make your raties cage interesting and fun but i would like to share some ideas:

hammicks: you can buy the expensive ones in the pet stores or you can always make some good inexpensive ones. a trip to the dollar storeand you can bet you'll find TONS of stuff to use for your ratties. I like to use dish rags and then use metal shower hooks to hook the rag from the top of your cage. Now you have a good inexpensive hammick and your rats dont even no…

well i've finally introduced my two pairs of rats. Things went over exactly the way i wanted them to! they would smell eachother and then chase each other around my bed, it was very very good, now all i have to do is fix up my cage so the litle ones cant fit through haha!

about 3 weeks ago i bought 2 male rats, Chip and Chunk ha ha. they are very playful and curious, i love them <3! well today while i was at work (i work in a pet store) a women came in with 2 baby rats that she bought but her kid is allergic to them so she couldn't have them and the store couldn't take them so i took them (luckily i had an extra cage!) so now i am the pround parent of 4 ratties, 1 gerbil, 1 leo, and 1 st. bernard.. I should open my own zoo.... HAHA! :)

ok so i finally picked out a name for my little girl, Zafira. Which means sapphire in spanish, i really it and i think it fits too, she's such a gem!

Today i finally got a gerbil which i was waiting to get for several weeks, I still need to find a name for him.. or her, i dont know yet, lol. its all brown with red eyes, i'll have to get a pic soon to show everyone but i think he/she's really cool and should be fun and interesting at the same time.

I havent had a gerbil before so i dont know wat to expect, i'm thinking they're like hamsters but a little more active i hope... I'll have to read up on them. Oww i'm so excited, lol.
