About Me/Them: (Please ask your Pet Kid(s) what they want you to say about them.): I retired from nursing 5 years ago and I am now able to have pets. All my kids are special. They are all happy well cared for. I must admit I go overboard, but so what. I love them very much.

Was the arrival of your Pet Kid(s) planned or is there a story?: Max, my boy cat, was a rescue I guess. A friend had some orphan kittens and I offered to bottle feed them until they could go home. On kitten, Max, had an eye infection that looked bad so I took him to the vet and he said he was blind. He gave me medicine for pink eye and now he can see a little out of his left eye. My friend was happy that I said I would keep him, since my friend lives on a farm and I didn't think Max would fair very well. Now he is a happy boy.
Fiona was found on a busy highway crying, someone just put her out. She was very content with us until someone shot her in the face while she was on her morning walk. She was missed after about two hours of being gone, she always made it back in 30-40 min. We found her trying to get back home. We rushed her to the vet. The bullet went into the left side of her nose, through roof of her mouth, cut her tongue and lodged in the back of her throat where it remains today. She was hospitalized for 128 days.. She still has a hole in her palate that is healing slowly. She is most special. Those that thought I was crazy for not having her put down are no longer my friends. Hers is a valued life.
