Hey, for all of you reptile owners or enthusiasts out there I was wondering if you could help me out. I have been wanting to get mercury vapor bulbs for a long time but never really had the extra money. I know how they work and get the gist of it, but I wanted opinions from those who actually have them. I've heard a lot of things from how delicate they are, to how hot they get. I mean I don't have a problem with my lights as it is. For uvb I have my bearded dragon, uro, leo and fat tail on zilla desert series lights. They work great, don't get me wrong! But I am very curious to try the mvb. Most like I would start using them for one of my pets just to see how it works out. But yes, any comments on this?

Hmm. Well I have beardies and leos but have never tried mercury vapors. I actually have zilla 50 T8s. As you said they work fine, but if you're concerned about price and stuff just stick with them.
I don't have uvb for my leos, and its not like these lights are very expensive, so I might consider getting some for my leopard geckos. Hows that working out?
